Dinosaur Bedding is a Great Theme for Kids of All Ages

You must agree that this theme has a kind of universal appeal. From the smallest of infants all the up through teenagers - dinos are just plain cool.

Of course - the nature of the dinosaurs featured will change with time. Babies love the cute and cuddly variety - while the older kids tend to like the ferocious type. But whatever the preference there are choices - lots and lots of choices!

I find that decorating around a dinosaur theme is particularly easy and not very expensive. This is because there are lots of things that we use every day that fit right in. Starting with toys. There are thousands of play sets that are modeled after one dinosaur or another. Legos, action figures, stuffed animals and more can set the mood even before you buy the matching bedding.

I have seen some beautiful wall murals depicting a prehistoric scene which are just over the top. However, most of us will not go to this length when it comes to decorating a bedroom.

The easiest way to incorporate theme is through kids dinosaur bedding. There is a wide selection out there to choose from. Olive Kids makes a set that is called Dinosaurland and it is very popular with the younger kids. The advantage of going this route is the accent pieces - they all coordinate and you can buy as many as your budget allows. JoJo Designs also makes some great sets in a conservative color palette. And don't forget the Disney Store. Their movie Dinosaur and the related themed merchandise is a favorite.

Personally - I like to go the creative route, and make unique decorations out of ordinary things. For instance - there are a lot of cardboard jigsaw puzzles in a dino theme. Put one of these together with your child and then mount it and frame it. Now you have a customized wall hanging that will be special to both of you and bring back memories of the time spent putting it together. This is the kind of decor that gets compliments from other parents - always with the "Wow - why didn't I think of that?" remarks.
